Storysharing workshop with Dr Nicola Grove (UK)

Foundation skills, and licenced practitioner extension workshop in an approach that supports people with intellectual disability to build relationships.

Storysharing; is an innovative, evidence based, collaborative approach to helping children and adults with intellectual and communication difficulties to recall and share stories about their lives. It is also effective for people with autistic spectrum difficulties, those who have mild to moderate communication problems, and those who lack confidence or who are withdrawn. Storysharing is useful for annual reviews, remembering and revisiting important events, managing difficult emotional transitions, self-advocacy, tenants meetings, friendship groups, developing relationships and improved communication environments.
