There are often events, out of our control, that impact upon life as we know it. It is important we understand what is possible through the use of adjustments.
Learnings from events promote resilience in the face of natural disasters and other serious events such as a pandemic.
• Your ‘Tales of the Tail’ will capture the Aotearoa-New Zealand experience and explore what is known about factors that foster resilience and flexibility during unexpected events.
• This workshop will discuss international evidence from the COVID-19 pandemic, its impact on people with learning, intellectual and developmental disability, their family/whānau and health and disability service provision.
The findings from this workshop will inform recommendations for future disability service delivery and planning for natural disasters and pandemics.
