Letter to Minister Shorten for website May 2024
Recently Minister Shorten suggested that people with an intellectual disability who commit a crime should not get funding from the NDIS. ASID wrote to him and asked him to think again about this. ASID said that offenders with intellectual disabilities should have access to the NDIS. They are a group of people who often experience serious disadvantages throughout their lives. We talked to Inclusion Australia They sent a letter to the Minister about this issue.
