The 11th Annual Disability Support Worker Conference theme was held in Melbourne, November 2011
The theme was ‘Research to Practice: Keeping the Promise’
November 2nd and 3rd, 2011
Hosted by ASID Victoria at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The conference was a great success attracting 600 delegates representing over 260 organisations across Australia and NZ.
The program consisted of a mixture of papers chosen from the process of open submission and invited presentations. We were seeking papers and presentations that reflected research into practice. This could be the application of research findings, work undertaken in an organisation in partnership with researchers, projects undertaken as a team or the implementation of practice that has been informed by research or training.
We also invited submissions from those interested in, or involved with, the professional development of Disability Support Workers.
