ASID 2021 Conference – Online
Conference Theme was “RECONNECTING” – Challenging Human Rights in Times of Change
The conference was held as two half day sessions from 12 – 17 November online.
The Board was acutely aware of the gap left by the cancellation of the 2020 conference and continuing uncertainty about travel, both within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
In response the 2021 conference was held as a fully online event. Each day consisted of keynotes and sessions delivered by researchers, service providers, policy and advocacy practitioners, self-advocates or family members. The format also provided opportunities for networking and to hear about international, national and local research and other initiatives.
