What is this webinar about?

Integral to the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) capability framework and good quality behaviour support planning is clinical supervision for PBS practitioners.  Behaviour support plan writers come from a variety of differing backgrounds and supervisors may bring different models of clinical supervision to their practice. If you are interested in learning more about supervision in this area and what makes a good supervisor of behaviour support planning.

Dr Jeffrey Chan is speaking based on the observations of the ‘practice’ and intelligence National Quality & Safeguards Commission (NQ&S) are noting on plan quality and the sector and his expectations as the National Senior Practitioner.

Who is presenting?

Dr Jeffrey Chan

Jeffrey commenced as the National Senior Practitioner on 9 July 2018.  Jeff has worked in disability and health services for about 30 years in government and in non-government settings. He has held inaugural statutory roles in protecting the rights of people with disability subjected to restrictive practices. Prior to his current role, he was Deputy CEO of a large intellectual disability service provider in Singapore. Jeff was a Finalist in the Australian Human Rights Award 2010 for the Individual Community category for his work in rights protection of people with disability and restrictive practices. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland’s School of Education where he continues to research in the area of disability.
